| Description | |
Gift your madness to our Lord.
Bless our brethren with grapes.
Take care that they fully ripen. | |
| Notes | |
Until an Aging Untouchable has been parried once, they cannot be damaged or hit.
They patrol a set path in specific regions of the Abyssal WoodsRegion, and may be found in groups.
Upon spotting a player, they immediately sprint towards them, dealing constant Madness build-up.
If they get close, they swing their canes.
If they grab the player, their heads glow and swell, dealing damage alongside immense Madness build-up, if not outright triggering it and dealing more damage.
If the player is far away, they will stand still for a moment before suddenly teleporting to their position, dealing damage.
Defense: Spells or equipment that can increase the player's survivability if they get spotted.
The Spelldrake Talisman and Barrier of Gold can offset the damage they do.
Clarifying Horn Charm, Clarifying Boluses, Clarifying Cured/White Cured Meat, and Lucidity can mitigate or eliminate Madness buildup.
Stealth: Items, skills, or spells that increase the player's stealth make it easier to sneak past them.
Crepus's Vial talisman makes the player's movement silent.
Assassin's Gambit makes the player silent and also less visible, and doesn't cause any sound when activated.
Unseen Form.
Lamenting Visage's weapon art makes the player harder to detect.
Black Knife Armor muffles the player's footsteps.
But it must be unaltered with the cape intact.
Distraction & Diversion: Because the Aging Untouchable is very sensitive to sound, the player can easily distract it by hitting the landscape with a projectile weapon like a Shattershard Arrow, Throwing Dagger.
or Ruin Fragment.
But beware that the act of using the projectile may itself cause sound separate from the impact.
Beware of noise traps: The special tall yellow plants in bushes will make a loud bell-jingling noise when touched, attracting the Aging Untouchables towards it.
It is unclear if this is intended, but the Destined Death-related debuffs applied by the unique skills on Maliketh's Black Blade and the Black Knife, as well as the Black Blade incantation are able to be applied to Aging Untouchables even prior to them being parried.
It is possible to defeat them solely with these effects without ever parrying however it requires upwards of 30 casts per Aging Untouchable with no in-game way to track their health. |
