Death Rite Bird

Death Rite Bird is a Field Boss in Elden Ring. These skeletal bird-like creatures are found throughout the lands between, usually at night. These are optional bosses as players are not required to defeat them in order to advance in Elden Ring, but they do provide useful items and Runes upon defeat. Unlike their weaker cousins the Deathbirds, they have a full set of wings and wield powerful ghostflame magic.

Just south of the Gate Town NorthGrace Site of Grace. As with most Death Rite Birds, it only appears at night. [Map Link]

Across the path to the southeast of the Southern Aeonia Swamp BankGrace Site of Grace. As with most Death Rite Birds, it only appears at night. [Map Link]

From the Castle Sol Main GateGrace Site of Grace, head west and take the path up to the plateau. Alternatively, from the Snow Valley Ruins OverlookGrace head west and take the path down. Either way, the Death Rite Bird is on the middle ledge between the lower and upper levels. Unlike other Death Rite Birds, it appears even during the day. [Map Link]

From the Charo's Hidden GraveRegion Site of Grace, pass through under the stone bridge into a graveyard partly sunken in water, then make your way towards the end and the Death Rite Bird will appear. [Map Link]
