Grafted Scion

Grafted Scion is a Field Boss in Elden Ring. Grafted Scion is an amorphous mass of bodies that wields two swords and a greatshield, found in various locales, most prominently in Stormveil CastleDungeon. This is an optional boss as players don't need to defeat it to advance in the game.

Grafted Scion is on the island at the end of the tutorial section at the beginning of the game. [Map Link]

If you didn't defeat Grafted Scion during the tutorial, you can return and face it again through the waygate marked "Precipice of Anticipation" in The Four BelfriesGrace.

From the entrance to Fringefolk Hero's GraveDungeon, head down the ramp, double back, and head down again until you reach a bridge over a gap in the floor. Drop down the near end of this gap and you'll land on a platform. Head east, down a flight of stairs, past a fire-breathing statue, and down another flight of stairs.

You'll find yourself in a room with another bridge across a gap. When you approach the corpse on the far end that's holding an Erdtree's Favor Talisman, one Grafted Scion will drop down on top of it and another will drop on the opposite end of the bridge.

Head south from the Rampart TowerGrace Site of Grace and take the elevator down to the first floor. The Grafted Scion is in the hall directly outside the elevator. [Map Link]

Disguised as a Giant Crayfish patrolling around the gazebo between Rose ChurchLandmark and Boilprawn ShackGrace. There are four Giant Crayfish in this area: three are sleeping and one is patrolling. The one patrolling will reveal itself to be a Grafted Scion once you attack it. Easily reached by

• going south from the Fallen Ruins of the LakeGrace Site of Grace, or

• going northeast from the Folly on the LakeGrace Site of Grace, or

• going northwest from the Boilprawn ShackGrace Site of Grace.

Follow the path northwest from the First Mt. Gelmir CampsiteGrace Site of Grace and across the rock bridge. As you approach the ladder up the cliff face, the Grafted Scion will drop down to fight you. [Map Link]

• Guard Break: Yes

• Is vulnerable to a critical hit after being stance broken or parried

• Weak spot: Head

• Can block upcoming ranged attacks with its shield.

• Damage: Standard, Strike, Pierce, Holy (1st)

• Only first Grafted Scion has boss bars, but all don't respawn when killed
