Description
Tree Sentinels are Field Bosses in Elden Ring. These heavily armored knights ride large steeds and carry powerful halberds. Although players are likely to encounter one in their first steps out into the Lands Between, it's wise to leave it be at first and return stronger and more experienced. The Tree Sentinel is directly northeast from The First StepGrace Site of Grace, and is usually visible immediately upon exiting the elevator up from the tutorial area. It patrols back and forth along the road to the Church of EllehGrace. [Map Link]
These Tree Sentinels guard the southern gate between Altus PlateauGrace and the LeyndellRegion outskirts, although you can run through the gate without defeating them first. They patrol the stairs directly east of the Altus Highway JunctionGrace Site of Grace. [Map Link]
Both Tree Sentinels are to the east of the HinterlandGrace Site of Grace, past the small strip of land that borders the wall of Shadow KeepDungeon. The Tree Sentinel with the torch makes his way down from Shaman VillageLandmark, while the one with the shield is walking up from the Hinterland BridgeGrace Site of Grace. [Map Link]

Immune to critical attacks. Breaking its stance or parrying it will only stun it briefly. Hitting him in this state pushes him back and deals 10% more damage.
