Description
The Two Fingers are a manifestation of the Greater Will. The Two Fingers act as a destiny to the demigods, choosing the path which they must take. They are the main manifestation of the Greater Will in the game, besides Elden Beast. The Two Fingers have responsibilities include selecting Empyrean candidates to inherit the Elden Ring, furnishing these candidates with shadowbound beasts, and offering wisdom to the Tarnished through Finger Readers. You can find a total of seven Two Fingers throughout the game, the only one found alive is in the Roundtable HoldLandmark, interpreted by Enia. There are Two Fingers for almost every demi-god in the game, except Morgott and Mohg, who share Two Fingers. There is also no Two Finger for Messmer, Melina, or Miquella. Miquella and Malenia might share a Two Finger like Morgott and Mohg but it is currently unkown.
After killing Morgott and inspecting the thorns, you discover that you must burn the Erdtree to enter. The Two Fingers will then point straight up in an attempt to contact the Greater Will. Once you kill a demigod and receive a Great Rune, it will be shown as powerless. To activate its power you must restore it at the demigod's respective Two Fingers. In Ranni's quest, you have to hunt down and obtain the Fingerslayer Blade. The Fingerslayer Blade allows for the Two Fingers to be killed. At the end of Ranni's quest, it is revealed that she used it to slay her Two Fingers, therefore changing her destiny. Ranni's Two Fingers are the only ones not to be found in a Divine Tower, besides the one at the Roundtable HoldLandmark.
