  • The sealing of blessed items inside opaque pouches to serve as good luck charms resembles the omamori practice from Japan. The real thing, however, tends to be blessed at the temple, zipped up at the temple, sold by the temple and ritually disposed of by the temple next year once the blessing dries up - the effect dies immediately and invites bad luck if the pouch is opened. These pouches being golden fonts of permanent blessings which change with the things placed in them is a very Erdtree-flavored twist on what is normally a disposable item.
