(Optional) Find Alexander's first location stuck in the ground on the eastern end of StormhillLandmark and free him. (Optional) Meet up with Alexander in the Gael TunnelGrace in CaelidRegion.

Talk to Alexander in the tournament courtyard before fighting Starscourge Radahn near Redmane Castle PlazaGrace

Defeat Radahn, and speak to Alexander at the Grace after the fight.

Find Alexander stuck in the ground on the cliffs above JarburgGrace. Free him with an oil pot.

Go to Alexander's location at Mt. GelmirRegion: Start at the Erdtree-Gazing HillGrace, go north west through the cliffs to Seethewater RiverGrace. Continue to Seethewater TerminusGrace, then go west and south past the Magma wurm.

(Optional) Summon Alexander to help you fight the Fire Giant

Meet Alexander in Crumbling Farum AzulaDungeon, where he will challenge you to a duel. Accept and defeat him to earn the Shard of Alexander talisman and Alexander's Innards, the latter of which you will need for the Jar-Bairn quest.
