Sorcery of those who abandoned the practice of incantations after devout faith rewarded them with only despair. The caster wounds their own flesh using impenetrable thorns grown from the Scadutree, which then sprout from the earth. This sorcery can be used repeatedly. The image of the twisted Scadutree is an edict: Denounce their ways. Do them harm. For they have abandoned us.

Shadow KeepDungeon: From the Storehouse, Seventh FloorGrace Site of Grace, head the center of the storeroom, after pulling the lever to rotate the center beams. Keep climbing on the beams until you can jump to a room with a Marika Statue in it and an archway leading outside. Once outside, carefully walk off the nearest ledge (you'll see a bat below). You'll find the spell on a corpse. Alternatively, backtrack from the Dark Chamber EntranceGrace Site of Grace, cross the bridge and down the steps on the right, and it will be directly below you next to the sitting bat enemy.
