This talisman is useful for builds that guard with a shield or utilize the Deflecting Hardtear. There is also merit to guard counters with two-handed weapons as this talisman can be paired with the Two-Handed Sword Talisman. Weapons with unique guard counters include the Black Steel Greathammer, Bloodfiend's Arm, and the Backhand Blades.
