Greatshield Talisman

Talisman depicting a knight holding a greatshield. Boosts guarding ability. The knights of LeyndellRegion once modelled themselves after the Tree Sentinels. Their purpose is to protect that which deserves protection, and thus the shield always comes before the sword.

Found in a Carriage chest, east of the Erdtree-Gazing HillGrace site of grace. Watch out for the three fire-arrow balistae guarding the carriage. Sell value: 500 Runes. This talisman does not increase damage reduction from blocking; it only reduces how much stamina you lose while blocking. This talisman did previously grant a scaling level of Guard Boost, this however was changed so as to not make some shields have 100 Guard Boost which would reduce stamina damage by 100 . Stacks multiplicatively with Scholar's Shield or Shield Grease to provide a 48 reduction to stamina damage taken (after Guard Boost)
