Black Bow

Longbow carved from black wood to resemble a blade. One of the most difficult bows to master.

The blade-like body of the bow is light and cuts through the air.
Though a longbow, it can be wielded similarly to a shortbow.

The Black Bow weapon can be found at the following location:

• Found on a corpse on a rooftop, accessible by jumping across the houses to your right when you descend the lift that leads to the lower level of Leyndell, Royal CapitalDungeon. From the Avenue BalconyGrace site of grace, head down the stairs into the area with the archer, immediately turn right, and you can see it on a rooftop to the north-east - jump down and use the stairs across that area to get on the rooftops. • Cannot be obtained after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade.

• Weapon Skill: Barrage

• This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War

• Can't be buffed by Magic or Consumables

• The Black Bow can be upgraded by using Somber Smithing Stones.

• Acts similarly to a Light Bow, allowing you to jump and shoot and shoot again immediately upon landing. It also allows for quick shooting after rolling and from a sprint. It also has a weapon skill that only light bows can have.

  • Unlike actual Light Bows however, the Black BowBowlike actual Light Bows however, the Black Bow will slow down movement when firing while riding Torrent.

  • Ansbach's Bow behaves in a much similar way albeit with a significantly higher dex requirement.

• The combination of moveset and regular bow damage makes it the predominant choice over most other light bows or regular bows for those who regularly use archery as a part of their build, though the high dex requirement must also be taken into consideration.
