Can be enchanted with Magic and boosted by Consumables Black Steel Greathammer can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones This weapon has a unique guard counter which also releases a trail of gold on the ground, dealing Holy Damage. A second after the initial hit, the gold erupts dealing additional Holy Damage and staggers enemies. Sacred affinity and high faith will increase the innate holy damage and after-explosion of the guard counter. With minimum investment into faith, this weapon can do high damage purely from strength by using the Heavy affinity. With the Sacred affinity, this weapon can be buffed by Sacred Blade to maximize holy damage. With the Heavy affinity, this weapon can be buffed by Order's Blade to greatly augment holy damage without sacrificing physical damage. Sacred Blade's buff does not scale with faith, so Order's Blade will greatly outmatch it at higher levels. NOTE:. damage has been reduced. NOTE: the Upgrades Table of this weapon below.
