With high poise damage and attack speed, this weapon is one of the best starter weapons even outside the RL1 category. It's charged heavy attacks is one the quickest ways to stance break even the mightiest bosses. Highly recommended to use this with Axe Talisman. In PvP it shines with descent hyperarmor and quick 'bonks'. It is recommended to keep the default ash of war as it gives the weapon a 3-hit combo.
