Great Epee

Large rapier featuring a thin, sharp blade. Commonly used in life or death duels.

Like its smaller counterparts, it is made for thrusting attacks, and can be used while guarding with a shield.

The Great Épée weapon can be found at the following location:

• Go due east from the Agheel Lake SouthGrace site of grace, and up the hill with gravestones. It's in a chest near two Kaiden Sellswords. It's next to the green and yellow banner, in front of the right most yellow canopy tent. [Elden Ring Map here]

• Weapon Skill: Impaling Thrust

• This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War.

• Can be buffed by Magic or Consumables

• Great Épée can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones.

• Pressing the dodge button while charging an R2 attack will change the R2 attack into a backwards feint. This backwards feint attack can combo directly into a running R1 attack.

• Sell Value: 100 Runes.

• NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed of Heavy Thrusting Swords crouching attacks has been reduced. Also, the stagger caused by double-handed Heavy Thrusting Swords jumping attacks has been reduced. And finally, Poise damage has also been reduced, but only for PVP.

• NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below.

• An Épée (pronounced "EH-pay") is a type of French fencing sword. Its name simply means "sword".
