At 80 Strength, the Lamenting Visage has 444 AR while one-handing and 478 AR while two-handing. When raised, Lamenting Visage also acts as a shield that blocks attacks against it, which also allows one to use Guard Counter (main hand weapon strong attack upon successful block). Its poor defensive stats however only make this useful in emergencies. Because the weapon art makes it harder for enemies to detect the player, the item is helpful for sneaking through the Abyssal WoodsRegion.
