Can't be buffed by Magic or Consumables
The Pulley Crossbow can be upgraded by using Somber Smithing Stones. This weapon fires its bolts with an unusually large upward pitch (tilt). When aiming at mid-range, players should aim lower than usual, aiming at humanoid enemies' chests to land headshots. Leveling Dexterity has been shown to mitigate this effect significantly. Its rapid fire attacks can be potent with Status-afflicting bolts. Status-afflicting bolts include the Bloodbone Bolts, Burred Bolts, Poisonbone Bolts, Black-Key Bolts, Rotbone Bolts, Coldbone Bolts, and Sleepbone Bolts. Sell Value: 100
