Smithscript Dagger

Dagger engraved with a smithscript. Reduced mass enhances the effects of the smithing arts, allowing this weapon to function as a throwing dagger for all attacks. Once thrown, the dagger instantly reappears in the wielder's hand. Incompatible with ashes of war that grant skills with an affinity.

Ruined Forge Lava IntakeGrace. Take the first ladder down, past the golem, and after the fire blob turn right. As soon as you enter the room past the Fire Blob, slightly to the left. You can also drop down to this area from the lever's location. At the end of the hallway, you will find a golem and this weapon on a corpse near the back wall. Remove Ads Weapon Skill: Piercing Throw. This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War, ones that add a buff to the weapon excluded. Can't be enchanted by Magic nor boosted by Consumables. Smithscript Dagger can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones This is the only infusible weapon that can have the Piercing Throw and Scattershot Throw weapon skills. All attacks throw the daggers as ranged projectiles for zero FP Jumping attacks cannot be used while one-handing in the offhand Allows for normal guarding, riposting, backstabbing and guard-countering This weapon has a unique guard counter animation which performs a backstep and then throws the daggers at the target Damage dealt by thrown daggers is affected by effective range. Arrow's Reach Talisman will not extend the range of thrown daggers but will reduce the damage falloff. Projectile damage is increased by the Smithing Talisman Holding the heavy attack button and pressing the dodge button will perform a retreating feint that throws the daggers while backstepping. Despite its ranged nature, this weapon is still capable of performing critical hits (backstabs, ripostes) against enemies at the appropiate melee range. Due to its fast nature, good scaling on all infusions, and commendable range, wielding this in the offhand can be a great way to safely prevent an enemy's stance from recovering while they're performing long combos and without any cost, unlike usual Throwing Daggers.
