From the Prison Town ChurchGrace site of grace, exit the building and turn right, walking west until dropping down onto the first rooftop, just behind the long-necked serpent. Immediately turn left, face south and head toward the corner of the adjacent rooftop, and safely drop down onto the rocky ground below. Once there, continue downhill to the east, and drop down to the big roof to the southwest (NOT the small hexagonal rooftop). From there, make a running jump to the rocky ground to the northwest, and continue onward to the graveyard. The Smoldering Shield is found here on a corpse Shield Skill: Shield Bash.
