Sword Lance

Weapon once wielded by Commander Gaius. A combination of greatsword and lance. Weighty and capable of being brought to bear with great force, this armament shows its true potential when used astride a mount. Gaius himself was never without his boar.

Can be selected as one of the possible rewards when trading Remembrance of the Wild Boar Rider with Enia at the Roundtable HoldLandmark. The other available reward is a sorcery, Blades of Stone. Weapon Skill: Impaling Thrust, it comes pre-equipped with the Spinning Gravity Thrust ash of war. This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War. Can be buffed by Magic or Consumables. Sword Lance can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones. This weapon has the standard R1 moves from Heavy Thrusting Swords. However all R2 attacks are from the Lance including running R2 and Guard Counter. This means that this weapon does NOT have the feint attack that all other thrusting swords have. At 80 Strength under Heavy infusion, the Sword Lance has 758 AR while one-handing and 817 AR while two-handing. Outperforms Rusted Anchor on heavy infusion. Status infusions result in much higher buildup than the other heavy thrusting swords on top of retaining good Strength scaling. Sword Lance is the only Legendary Armament that can be infused with Ashes of War and upgraded with Smithing Stones. NOTE: by double-handed Heavy Thrusting Swords jumping attacks has been reduced. And finally, Poise damage has also been reduced, but only for PVP.
