Watchdog's Greatsword

Stone greatsword wielded by Erdtree Burial Watchdogs.

Though decorated with the watchman's eye, the pupil was taken by graverobbers and is now hollow, leaving this sword a mere lump of stone.

The Watchdog's Greatsword weapon can be found at the following location:

• Dropped by the sword wielding Watchdogs in the Mountaintops of the GiantsRegion.

• Giants' Mountaintop CatacombsGrace: Once you enter the dungeon, you will eventually come across a lift. Take the lift down, and then trigger the lift but quickly get off. Another lift will rise up from underneath and by taking that new lift down, you will enter the area with Two Watchdogs as well as other various enemies. The second Watchdog can drop it.

• Giant-Conquering Hero's GraveGrace: After entering the Dungeon heading down a short flight of stairs, a Fire Monk will approach from your right. Head right down the hall where the Fire Monk approached from and peer over the windows. There will be a place to drop down. The Watchdog enemy in this room must be led into the light before defeating, but note that it enters a Vulnerable State after entering the light.

• Consecrated Snowfield CatacombsGrace: One sword-wielding Watchdog can be found guarding the Imp Head (Elder), which has a chance to drop the sword.

• Weapon Skill: Stamp (Upward Cut)

• This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War

• Can be buffed by Magic or Consumables

• Watchdog's Greatsword can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones.

• Sell Value: 100

• Base drop rate is 8% (at 100 Discovery).

• Note: As of Patch 1.08, the Speed of Crouching and Rolling Attack has been slightly increased.

• NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below. Additionally, the speed of guard counters for this weapon has increased

• Has a similar moveset to the Greatsword but is much shorter.

  • At +25 with a 55 strength and two handing, has slightly less attack than the Greatsword.
